on October 29, 1940, the first flight of the I-200 aircraft, a prototype of the famous Soviet MiG – 3 fighter, intended mainly for interception of high-altitude targets, took place. In December of the same year was finished the first two production vehicles. In 1941, the fighters began to enter the combat units. Despite its main purpose, at the beginning of the great Patriotic war, the MiG-3 performed a variety of combat missions.
