Corsair Mk.II is the British version of the F4U-1A, includes a convex cockpit canopy with only two frames and simplified glazing. To improve the view in front of the long nose of the aircraft, the pilot's seat was raised by 180 mm, which is very important for landing on an aircraft carrier. The main difference between F4U-1A and Mk.II are wingtips, the British version they are shorter due to the smaller scale of the British ships. The Royal Navy ordered 510 Corsair Mk II - the aircraft were used both in the Pacific ocean and in the European theater of operations.
