F4U-4 is the last option to see action during world war II, deliveries to the US Navy F4U-4 began in late 1944. Fully equipped naval squadrons four months before the end of hostilities. It had an engine capacity of 2100 HP. When the cylinders were introduced with a mixture of water / alcohol, the power was increased to 2450 HP (1830 kW). The propeller has been changed into four types of blades. The maximum speed was increased to 448 mph (721 km / h) and the lifting speed to over 1,180 m / min as opposed to 884 m / min F4U-1A. The service ceiling has also increased significantly from 11,000 m to 12,000 m.
