Douglas A-3 “Skywarrior” was a strategic nuclear bomber created for the US Navy. The aircraft had folding wings for storage on the deck, a radar-controlled turret and a crew of three. The project was founded in 1943, October 28, 1952, the prototype XA3D-1 took to the air. The aircraft entered service in 1956. Production finished in 1961, 282 copies were built.
