The 90mm Gun Tank M48, also known as Patton III or Patton 48, was a US medium tank from the 1950s. It was designed in 1950-1951 as a new generation tank, intended to replace all medium tanks of previous models in the US armed forces. This modification, M48A3, was actively used by the US Army during the Vietnam War. The model is built from a rare Tamiya kit from the 80s, but of quite good quality, and is complemented by a stowage (canisters, bags, backpacks), which creates the feeling of a living machine, and not just a toy on a shelf. Painting was done with AMMO acrylic paints, with effects of lightening, darkening and faded areas, so that the model looks three-dimensional and impressive. Traces of rust and chipped paint and road dust accumulated in all the recesses are also visible.
